# Above the 20-day most of the month — NSE scan

> Closed above the 20-day average on 17 of the last 20 sessions, ADX over 20. The forgiving version of a persistence scan.

Canonical: https://patternsradar.com/screener/mostly-above-20-day

```sift
where count(close > sma(20), 20) >= 17
  and adx > 20
```

The forgiving cousin of the ten-sessions-above scan. It tolerates up to three closes under the 20-day in a month, which is how a healthy trend actually behaves, instead of demanding an unbroken run. The ADX condition stops it returning stocks that have drifted sideways just above a flat average. Twenty is a modest bar. It is still enough to say the sessions above the line came from movement and not from noise.
