Strike is a real-time terminal: scanners on hourly and daily bars, option chains with live Greeks, FII/DII participant data, heatmaps, RRG. It is paid, ₹649 a month once the seven-day trial ends. If what you actually use is the delivery and technical scanners after the close, you are renting a trading floor to run a screener on it. PatternsRadar is that screener on its own. End-of-day NSE data, a query language, and a replay of every scan across any window up to thirty years, free without an account.

Strike prices verified on strike.money/pricing on 2026-08-28, shown there against struck-through list prices (₹650/mo, ₹7,500/yr), so treat them as promotional. Backtesting is listed in Strike's own articles but not documented on the product pages. This page is maintained by PatternsRadar. ## The differences that matter

### Different clocks

Strike is built for the session. Scanners refresh live, RMI and Dow-trend signals come in hourly flavours, and the option chain updates its Greeks as prices move. PatternsRadar loads after the close, and nothing here fires while the market is open. That is not a gap I intend to close. It is the reason the replay can run over every session in the dataset in ninety milliseconds. Pick the clock your workflow actually keeps.

### A backtest I could document, against one I could not

Strike's own articles list backtesting among its features and I take that at face value. But nothing on strike.money describes what the backtest does: which scans it covers, what history it reaches, whether it reports what the matches went on to do. I would rather say that plainly than mark the row 'No'. The replay here is specified in the open. Any window from ten sessions to every session since 1995, up to four forward horizons of one to sixty sessions, entry at the close or the next open, an optional stop and target with each exit labelled, excess return against seven NSE indices. Its limits go in the same breath: close-to-close, no brokerage, no slippage, no position sizing, and a universe measured as of today.

### Scanner lists, or a language

Strike ships scanners as named families you pick from: high delivery percentage, RSI oversold, a candlestick pattern. PatternsRadar ships a language you write in, so 'delivery_pct > 60 and close crossed above ema(21) within 3 bars' is a scan. Curated lists are faster on day one. A language is what you reach for on the day the setup you want is not on the list.

## Which should you use?

### When Strike is the right choice

Choose Strike if you trade during the session or trade options. Live scanners with hourly variants, option chains with Greeks and a strategy builder, FII/DII participant data, sentiment and breadth tooling, heatmaps, RRG, weekly and monthly scanner timeframes. It is a terminal, and for a full-time trader that breadth is the point.

### When PatternsRadar is the right choice

Choose PatternsRadar if your screening happens after the close and you want each scan to answer for itself: a readable query language over NSE price, volume and delivery data, a documented replay on every scan, thirty years of history, API and MCP access. Free to screen, ₹400/month for alerts, against Strike's ₹649/month after the trial.

## Common questions

### Is PatternsRadar a free alternative to Strike.money?

For end-of-day scanning, yes. Nothing here sits behind an account or a payment: the query language, the delivery fields, thirty years of history, the replay at full depth. Strike is paid after a seven-day trial. It is not an alternative for live scanning, options analytics or participant data. Strike keeps those jobs.

### Does Strike.money have delivery percentage scanners?

Yes. High delivery percentage and high delivery quantity are scanner families on Strike, which puts it ahead of most Indian tools. The difference here is testing: a delivery condition can be replayed across up to thirty years of sessions to see what its matches did over the following days.

### Why switch from Strike to PatternsRadar?

Usually price and evidence. If the scanners are the part of Strike you use, ₹649 a month buys a lot of terminal you do not open. And if you want to know whether a scan has historically been worth acting on, the replay here is documented, configurable, and bounded by a daily allowance rather than an annual quota. If you use the options and live tooling, do not switch.
