Strike is a live trading terminal with scanners inside. PatternsRadar is an end-of-day screener with testing inside. If you trade during market hours or on options, Strike is the tool and this page will not argue. If your work happens after the close and you want each setup checked against history before you act on it, that is the whole of what PatternsRadar does. Both take delivery percentage seriously, which is rarer than it should be.

Strike prices verified on strike.money/pricing on 2026-08-28, shown there against struck-through list prices (₹650/mo, ₹7,500/yr), so treat them as promotional. Backtesting is listed in Strike's own articles but not documented on the product pages. This page is maintained by PatternsRadar. Competitor capabilities as generally available at the time of writing; verify current features on their site.

## The differences that matter

### Different clocks

Strike is built for the session. Scanners refresh live, RMI and Dow-trend signals come in hourly flavours, and the option chain updates its Greeks as prices move. PatternsRadar loads after the close, and nothing here fires while the market is open. That is not a gap I intend to close. It is the reason the replay can run over every session in the dataset in ninety milliseconds. Pick the clock your workflow actually keeps.

### A backtest I could document, against one I could not

Strike's own articles list backtesting among its features and I take that at face value. But nothing on strike.money describes what the backtest does: which scans it covers, what history it reaches, whether it reports what the matches went on to do. I would rather say that plainly than mark the row 'No'. The replay here is specified in the open. Any window from ten sessions to every session since 1995, up to four forward horizons of one to sixty sessions, entry at the close or the next open, an optional stop and target with each exit labelled, excess return against seven NSE indices. Its limits go in the same breath: close-to-close, no brokerage, no slippage, no position sizing, and a universe measured as of today.

### Scanner lists, or a language

Strike ships scanners as named families you pick from: high delivery percentage, RSI oversold, a candlestick pattern. PatternsRadar ships a language you write in, so 'delivery_pct > 60 and close crossed above ema(21) within 3 bars' is a scan. Curated lists are faster on day one. A language is what you reach for on the day the setup you want is not on the list.

## Which should you use?

### When Strike is the right choice

Choose Strike if you trade during the session or trade options. Live scanners with hourly variants, option chains with Greeks and a strategy builder, FII/DII participant data, sentiment and breadth tooling, heatmaps, RRG, weekly and monthly scanner timeframes. It is a terminal, and for a full-time trader that breadth is the point.

### When PatternsRadar is the right choice

Choose PatternsRadar if your screening happens after the close and you want each scan to answer for itself: a readable query language over NSE price, volume and delivery data, a documented replay on every scan, thirty years of history, API and MCP access. Free to screen, ₹400/month for alerts, against Strike's ₹649/month after the trial.

## Common questions

### What is the difference between Strike.money and PatternsRadar?

Timing and shape. Strike is a real-time terminal with scanners, options analytics, breadth and participant data, for the trading session. PatternsRadar is an end-of-day screener with a query language and a configurable replay on every scan, for the evening after it. Both scan delivery percentage; only one runs during market hours.

### Does Strike.money have backtesting?

Strike's own comparison articles say it does. I could not find documentation of what it tests or reports, so this page neither credits nor denies it in detail. Verify on their site. The replay here is specified: every scan, any window to thirty years, up to four forward horizons, entry at the close or the next open, an optional stop and target, and index-excess, free.
